Harvey firefighters battled two back-to-back fires after bad weather moved through the area Thursday night.

According to the Harvey Volunteer Fire Company, units were called to two different fires.

The fire was reported in the 1500 block of Lorene Drive around 7:40 p.m. Smoke was seen coming from an apartment complex.

Firefighters contained the flames to the wall of the two-story complex.

The fire displaced three people, and no one was hurt according to Harvey fire officials.

The second fire was reported at the Town Suites Hotel in the 1800 block of Central Boulevard.

Harvey fire officials say they arrived to find smoke on the second floor of the three-story hotel.

No flames were seen, and firefighters determined the source of the smoke was a burned air conditioning unit.

No damage or injuries were reported, according to Harvey fire officials.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
